There’s something wonderful about winking my life away.
My eyes are as sparkly as the day I turned 16. Wink wink. My hair is silky and sensational. Wink. My body…oh, no you don’t! It’s all natural and it’s perfect! (Wink to the eighth power).
There’s something wacky about winking my life away.
My breath is always sweet. My boyfriend finds me adorable seven days a week. The air is pure. The water is clean. I cook like Nigela; sing like Nora; dress like Gwenyth. I feel like a million bucks.
How do I do it? Okay, please take no offense, but I’ve modified the Serenity Prayer.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know
when to wink (and when not to wink).
You think it’s easy to wear this wink? You’re right, it is. But life isn’t. So here’s to you.
Wink some.
Smile more.
Find truth.
Be free.
And, please, by all means, steal plenty of kisses along the way.
XO
