The Man Who Loves Her

There once was a man who loved a woman. He feared he would hurt the woman. Unfortunately for both, his Fear of hurting her was greater than his Love of loving her. He hurt her. She survived (we usually do).

After seducing a pint of Hagen Dazs, and hiking through Saks, she opened herself to the possibility of being loved without fear. She turned west and, with the sun on her cheeks, decided that, with regard to men, she would accept one thing and one thing only: Love from a Wonderful, Responsible, Grown-up Man who enjoyed making plans to see her again in Tahiti, in Manhattan, in Mexico. Ole!

As it turns out, the journey was “simple.” It was a matter of making an about-face. She never looked back.

And I’m happy to tell you, today, that girl’s got it good. Her Man shows up. He loves her bravely. He makes plans for their future. He turns down anything that comes between him and his woman. And her? Oh, she’s got it all – including a place on the beach and one good paying gig with Hagen Dazs.

The only thing missing? A puppy!
